Project: The Rails

The Rails is a transit-oriented brownfield redevelopment in the University District of Buffalo.  The entire project consists of 200,000 SF of new construction, adaptive reuse of an existing warehouse building, and the restoration of an existing office building.

The project includes 312 apartment units and focuses on resident experience and quality of life by offering a variety of amenity spaces.  The double height lobby space, or “Railyard”, features a large lounge area with adjacent golf/sports simulator room.  The first floor also includes a club room with kitchen, co-work spaces, a conference room, and a fitness center.  Other amenities throughout the project are a music room, pet wash, and dog park.  Each level of the upper floors also features a small community “lookout” room that provide stunning views of Buffalo. The building also includes a restaurant space fronting Main Street that is sure to draw people in from the surrounding area.
